For the last few weeks, students have been working on a research project in class. The final project is due this Friday, November 18th. Although this was a project done completely in class, some students who did not manage their class time appropriately may be feeling pressure to finish the project on time. They will be given time each day this week to finish up in ELA. They will also be given time to work on the project in the mornings if they are able to finish their morning work quickly.

Thanks to the PTO, our fourth graders now have premium memberships to www.spellingcity.com! Each student should have their individual username and password stapled into the inside of their planner. This is a great resource for studying spelling words at home. Now that students have a premium membership, they will have access to many more games to practice their words!
Due to the Veteran's Day holiday on Friday, our spelling test will be on Thursday this week. Students know that they may need to do a little extra practice at home this week, since they have one less day to study! We need one extra day for unit 2 in math, so we will be taking the unit 2 test on Wednesday and the cumulative test on Thursday. Students will be bringing home their review sheet on Tuesday night.
We are coming to the end of unit 2 in math. We will spend a day reviewing on Monday and plan to test on Tuesday. We also have a cumulative math test to give on Wednesday that assesses the skills that students were taught in both units 1 and 2. All students are able to bring home their math notebooks and student reference books every night to help with homework or to study for their tests.
