We have wrapped up our science unit on the states of matter, and we are returning to our study of the regions of the United States. We are currently learning about the Midwest region. Students will need to know the states and capitals of this region by the end of our unit. They will be making flashcards in class and will be able to take them home for extra practice.

Students that have not yet reached their AR goal for our competition have an update stapled into their planners. The update tells what their individual AR goal is and how many points they have earned so far. You can help your child reach their goal by encouraging them to read more at home. Once they have finished reading a book, they can take an AR quiz in class to earn points toward their goals. Thank you for all your support! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend! Yesterday we wrapped up our first unit on fractions in math. Students will be bringing home their corrected math tests today (Thursday, November 6th).
Our next unit in math focuses on multiplication. The following are some of the things students will be expected to do by the end of this unit:
It will be extremely helpful for students to practice their basic multiplication facts at home. Students will be asked to multiply multi-digit numbers in this unit, and this will be much more difficult if they do not know the basic facts. The links below are for some fun online games that students can play to practice basic multiplication facts! |
